Overview
As illustrated through his own narrative style,  Jesus used storytelling  to connect with the hearts and minds of people.

The task of the Religious Education teacher is to convey the divine story of God’s communion with humankind and the world. The challenge ahead for Religious Educators, is to reclaim our role as storytellers and to revitalise the impact of story.

.Aims
The key learnings from this presentation will be:
  •  that teachers develop a deeper understanding of the principles and pedagogy of ‘Storytelling'
  • ​explore ways that assist students to engage with the story and with each other.
  • use the stories of Scripture and the Tradition, including the symbols and rituals of the liturgy, to help students bring together faith and life experience.
  • understanding the importance of the sacred deposit of faith, which the Church seeks to hand on.
