Overview
The importance of thoughtfully and creatively engaging students in a ‘study’ of the Sacred Scriptures has always been the ‘Cornerstone’ of any Religious Education curriculum. Building upon over 25 years of research and writing, this program is explicitly designed to provide teachers, both ‘young and old’, with the professional skills to implement a wide range of practical teaching strategies in the R.E. classroom. The day will be, very much, a ‘hands-on’ experience, whereby teachers, with a little contemporary educational theory and a lot of stimulating pedagogical practice, will be exposed to activities that will empower students to explore meaning and probe the wonders and beauty of the Scriptures, especially in the context of their daily lives.
