Bishop McKenna, who will be attending these sessions, has encouraged a renewed focus on the importance of Scripture in the life of all Christians and especially Catholics in the Diocese of Bathurst. To support the implementation of the Diocesan Confirmation Policy, which names an indicator of readiness for Confirmation as knowledge of Scripture. Catholic Bibles were purchased for all students in Year 5 in 2023. These bibles are to be presented to Year 5 students with appropriate formation from their Classroom teacher as well as their Parish Priest/ Parish Community. This day of formation (offered to all teachers, but focus on Year 5 and 6) on Scripture and how to share it with young people in a classroom setting.
