Footsteps of
St Mary the Cross MacKillop
- Pilgrimage
Target Audience: Permanent Teachers in the Diocese
Overview
A pilgrimage is a very personal experience but it is usually a journey with others: seeking, listening, reflecting and seeing the hand of God at work in our own lives.
This pilgrimage has been prepared by ‘Harvest Journeys’ to help us enter more deeply into Mary and Julian’s stories and spirituality. The opportunity for prayer and reflection is a significant part of the Pilgrimage. Participating in a 11 days pilgrimage, we will be sharing a journey that will draw us more deeply into the story of the foundation of the Congregation by Julian Tension Woods and Mary MacKillop in Penola, and how their vision has unfolded, especially to our Diocese of Bathurst.
Pilgrimage can be a journey of the heart, open to encountering the presence of God within ourselves, creation and others.
