Overview
Utilising the metaphor of the ‘seven steps’ or courtyards of the ‘Second Jewish Temple’, the presentation endeavours to immerse those involved in Catholic education with a journey of reflection as to the true purpose of a Catholic school that acknowledges all participants, students, staff and families, are at different points along the journey of faith and life. Through an immersion in seven significant scriptural stories, set within the context of the culture of 1st Century Palestine, this presentation explores how the ‘human’ Jesus gradually grew into a deeper understanding of his connection with his divine Father and his true mission on Earth. Duration
This one-day formation program combines storytelling, scripture and the use of metaphors to highlight the key themes. Participants are given frequent opportunities for personal reflection and discussion with their peers so as to ascertain the relevance of the input to the unique context of their school community.
